Do you ever feel like you’re running nonstop but not really moving forward? In real estate, it’s easy to confuse being busy with being productive. After nearly 21 years in the business, I learned that productivity comes from focus and structure, not constant activity.

When I started, my schedule was unorganized, I didn’t have a reliable CRM to track clients, and I constantly forgot follow-ups and deadlines. That all changed when I applied these three simple hacks.

1. Turn off all notifications. Notifications used to control my day. Every ping and alert pulled me off track. Now, I’ve turned them off completely. I check messages on my schedule, not when they pop up. A few emergency contacts can still reach me anytime, but everything else waits.

2. Aim for an empty inbox. A cluttered inbox causes stress and missed opportunities. I handle emails three ways: reply right away, task it for later, or move it to a folder and schedule time to review. Keeping my inbox clean keeps my focus clear.

3. Make everything an appointment. If it’s not on my calendar, it doesn’t exist. Work, personal time, and even days off all get scheduled. Everyone in my circle knows this, and it keeps me organized and consistent.
